Shelby Manor

A Place to Call Home

Family-owned and operated by Dan and Sue Wheatley, Shelby Manor is a residential group home located in Shelby Township, Michigan. Providing licensed, quality care for over 15 years, the Wheatleys have transformed their big, beautiful home into a safe, comfortable haven for your loved ones. Shelby Manor is fully-staffed 24/7 by trained care providers. Doctors and nurses make regular rounds on-site and are also available if special needs arise. Licensed physical and occupational therapy is also available without leaving the comfort of "home." They offer everything from Respite Assistance to Alzheimer's/Dementia Care and Hospice Support.

Because Shelby Manor is a group home ("Micro-Community") it does not feel in any way "institutional." Home-cooked meals are prepared fresh daily. A beautiful patio and huge covered porch provide the opportunity to relax outdoors (especially when Danny fires up the BBQ!) Outings in the fully-equipped van are planned for those who enjoy a trip to the park, a drive in the country, or a simple trip to get an ice cream.

The staff at Shelby Manor recognize that each resident is an individual - and provide care and treatment accordingly. They offer a higher level of service for the elderly and infirm which includes bathing, dressing, meal prep (and help with feeding if needed), housekeeping, medication assistance, laundry, and personal hygene care. You can rest assured your loved ones are being cared for properly, compassionately and with respect at Shelby Manor.
